Meters are objects corresponding to a flow of measured or non-measured information (temperature, gas consumption, Boolean, product code, ...). They are the medium for data, making it possible to analyse energy consumption.
To access these meters, click on "Meters" in the left-hand navigation bar.
This shows all the meters available according to access rights.
Add an item
At the top of the page, click on the "Create an element" button to add, as desired:
- Meter: a new meter (known as a "physical" meter, as it is the same type of element as the counters created automatically during data integration): element containing defined points
- Virtual meter: element containing points that are the result of a calculation formula
- a new Folder in the meter tree
- a new Site in the meter tree
Click on the element you want to add.
Create a (physical) meter
Clicking on "Meter" displays the page below.
Click on the Name field and choose the name with which the meter will be displayed. This name can be changed later.
Click on the Source ID field and choose the character string that will be used to identify the meter. Please note: this Source ID cannot be changed afterwards.
Click on the Measurement interval field and select an interval from those in the drop-down list.
Finally, click on the Parent item field to bring up the tree structure of the Meters area, use the arrows to expand the sites and folders, then select the folder in which the meter will be created.
To finish, click "Add". The meter will appear.
NB: the meter is created but does not currently contain any data. To add data, see the article Edit a meter.
Create a virtual meter
Clicking on "Virtual meter" displays the page below.
Click on the Name field and choose the name with which the meter will be displayed. This name can be changed later.
Click on the Formula field and enter the desired formula. This formula can be modified later.
Click on the Formula field and enter the desired formula.
Click on the Measurement interval field and select an interval bet those from the drop-down list.
Finally, click on the Parent item field to bring up the tree structure of the Meters area, use the arrows to expand the sites and folders, then select the folder in which the meter will be created.
To finish, click "Add". The meter will appear.
