Display the list of dashboards
To display the list of dashboards, click on the "Dashboards" menu in the left-hand navigation bar. Here you'll find all the published dashboards, as well as dashboards in draft mode, created by the current user.
Dashboards in draft mode, created by the current user.
Please note: it is only possible to view dashboards placed in folders for which you have access rights, in accordance with User rights management. Dashboards placed in folders for which you do not have access rights will be invisible.
Choose view type (Tree/Grid)
Two view types are available for viewing Dashboards.
To change the view type, click on the view selector in the toolbar above the Dashboard list:
- "Treeview"
displays Dashboards organised hierarchically, in a tree of user-defined folders.
- "Grid"
displays all dashboards flat.
Filter by dashboard type
A tab bar allows you to view dashboards classified according to certain options:
- "All", which displays all the dashboards
- "Templates", which displays dashboards defined as templates
- "Report templates", which displays dashboards configured to generate reports
The number that appears to the right of each tab name corresponds to the number of dashboards of this type.
Filter by name
The text input field can be used to filter the list of dashboards by name.
Viewing a dashboard
To open a dashboard, click on its name. The dashboard will then be displayed:
You can scroll down the page to browse the dashboard and the widgets that make it up.
The time range of the dashboard as well as the time step for displaying the data are indicated at the top left.
The time range is the time period used to display data in widgets.
The time step is the time interval used to aggregate the data displayed in widgets (data hour by hour, day by day, month by month, etc).
Caution: for each widget, the time range and time step can be configured independently of the time range and time step of the dashboard.
Also, the time step as well as the aggregation function are first defined in each meter. This determines how the data is then displayed in a dashboard.
Changing the time range
To change the time range displayed, you can either:
- click on the arrows to shift the time range to the past or future
- use the calendar to manually set a start date and end date.
To use the calendar, click on the button with the time range displayed.
The calendar opens.
It is then possible to:
- Select a predefined time range (list on the left): click on the time range you want.
- Define the start date (first calendar) and end date (second calendar). To define a date, click on the corresponding day. At the top of each calendar, you can click on the period displayed to change the order of magnitude (month/year/decade) and use the horizontal arrows to change the period.
- Set the start and end times. To do this, at the bottom of each calendar you can click on the "Select time"
button. Then click on the vertical arrows to change the hour and minutes, or click on the numbers to display a predefined list allowing you to quickly select the hour and minutes.
Once the time range has been defined, click "Apply". The dashboard and the data displayed in the widgets will update automatically (except for widgets where the time range has been configured independently).
Change the time step
To change the display time step, click on the button with the time step displayed.
The list of available time steps is displayed. Click on the time step you want.
Please note that the time steps available depend on the time range displayed. Indeed, to avoid overloading the platform with too much information, it is not possible to display a very fine time step over too large a time range (for example hourly data over a year). To display more precise data, feel free to reduce the time range displayed.
Once the time step has been set, click "Apply". The dashboard and the data displayed in the widgets will update automatically (except for widgets whose time step has been configured independently).
Display a widget in full screen
Hovering over a widget with the mouse cursor displays a toolbar above the widget with a number of actions.
Among these actions, the button displays the widget in full screen.
Export widget data
In the toolbar above a widget, the button lets you export the widget's data in CSV format. On widgets that allow this, a drop-down list lets you choose the time step with aggregation of the data to be exported (or Raw data to export non-aggregated data).
