How to create a new meter and manually import data into Energiency?

When no production data is available or relevant to link with a factory’s energy consumption, it is quite common to want to integrate a history of worked hours (with a time step of 1 day or 1 month). If you want to integrate 2 years of daily data points, manually creating them in the Energiency platform can be tedious. A second method is presented here to help you do it quickly through a manual import.

Creating a meter:

If the data you want to import is not linked to an existing meter, you need to create a new one. In our example (daily worked hours), it would look like this:

Downloading the file and adding the complete data:

Then go to the “Data” tab and download the raw data from the meter.

Open your downloaded .csv file and save it in .xlsx format.

Extend the first two dates in column A to cover the entire desired period. In our example, we are using January 2024.

Next, add your data points associated with the dates from your internal files (this is where the time-saving happens, thanks to copy-paste).

Remember to save your downloaded file.

Importing the file:

In the “Imports” tab, you can drag and drop or select your file.

You can then verify that your data has been successfully imported from the “Data” tab of your meter.
